I'm Oscar.
I'm Founder and CEO of Remi, a direct-to-consumer sleep and wellness company backed by Foundation Capital. Remi’s first product is providing affordable and ultra-comfortable custom night guards to consumers who would otherwise need to go through their dentist for a similar quality offering.
Previously I was an investor at Sinai Ventures. While at Sinai, I sourced five investments: Grow Mobility (50x markup), Swiftmile (lead investor), Skyryse, Doorport (lead investor), and Esusu (lead investor). These companies have all experienced markups, but I am most proud of the relationships I developed with the founding teams. In addition to the deals I sourced, I led diligence for nine deals, supported an additional ten deals, and sat on one board.
Working at Sinai Ventures was a lot like working at an early startup - everyone did a bit of everything - so in addition to sourcing and diligence, I supported the fund's operations including running its quarterly and annual LP reporting process. Joining Sinai three months after the firm was founded meant all our processes had to be built from the ground up. I developed our internal process pipeline from first touch to investment, structured our investment committee deliberation, and defined how we communicated with the portfolio.
Living on three continents before the age of 20 explains why my favorite activities are meeting new people and sharing unusual food.
